President & Director John Etter brings to Ur-Waterover 35 years
in the financial services industry and as an entrepreneur who acquired,
successfully managed and via merger/acquisition successfully sold
his distribution firm to Praxair, a Fortune 500 company with international
operations. He has held sales, sales management, and executive
positions with Mass Mutual having served as Vice President & Product
Manager for tax-favored retirement plans.
Upon sale of his company to Praxair in 1997 he served as General Manager – North America for a division of its subsidiary, Praxair Distribution. Since his retirement Mr. Etter has remained active in various community and university organizations having served as an advisor the University of Wisconsin Weinert Center for Entrepreneurship, VP Finance/ Board member of the local Council of Boys Scouts, and currently Treasurer/Board member of The University Club. Mr. Etter holds a BBA degree from the University of Wisconsin–Madison and a MSFS degree from The American College in Bryn Mawr, PA.
